new postcards
october - marilyn stingley died. she's the woman that prompted me to get a bad review in my first three months at the plant. she's also the one who told me three months later that she had heard that i would be the one to replace her as far as being knowledgeable about the parts at work.
november - i applied for a position at the other plant at the end of october and found out that i got it. no more tack weld burns. no more cuts. no more dirty clothes and ravaged fingernails. i'm going to the quality department to be an inspector. i hear the raises are better, as well.

i miss marilyn greatly, too. she was such an inspiration to me. it seemed that all i wanted to work for was to gain her respect and i did near the end.
i will never forget the things she said to me that night after benefit at sarge's when she was walking out to the car.
